The Graduation DeliverableA completed Church Governance Charter for your specific ministry context, including constitutional framework, financial accountability system, and succession roadmap, ready for adoption by your church board.
Why This Programme Exists
The African church is among the most powerful institutions on the continent. It commands extraordinary loyalty, mobilises vast resources, and shapes the moral imagination of communities across every nation. Yet its governance structures frequently fail the people it serves — not from bad intention, but from the absence of training in institutional accountability, financial management, and constitutional design.
Financial scandals, leadership succession crises, constitutional disputes, and unchecked pastoral authority are not only damaging to congregations — they are a scandal to the church’s witness in the world. This programme addresses these failures directly, giving ministry leaders the governance tools and financial management skills to lead their institutions with integrity, transparency, and sustainability.
What You Will Learn
- How to design and implement a church constitution that is legally sound, biblically informed, and practically enforceable.
- How to manage a church budget, prepare financial statements, and create accountability structures that protect both the congregation and the leadership.
- How to plan for leadership succession before a crisis forces the conversation.
- How to navigate denominational structures, property ownership, and institutional legal requirements in the Ghanaian and broader African context.
- How to build a board, committee structure, or eldership team that actually governs effectively.
